Second, it's sad that you don't have much time for NATA now... I am rooting for ya the most! (Specially after all of my other favorites left/didn't pass/missed the opening round). Welp, it ain't so bad anyway, it's like you just said, without inspiration OR motivation, it gets a bit pointless (... unless you want the top prize, hahaha).

creative work is one of those things that you can never force out. its gotta just flow out like diarreah. i think its good you can see the lessons and value of your successes and failures so far, alot of people dont get that far.

also, I guess I feel like I should get SOMETHING out of each one of these, having spent so much time on them. I'll consider it an investment: Put in time and energy now, leads to improvement later. Hopefully.

Damn, man. Your site's down? I finally had some free time to try to follow that Synfig tutorial of yours. I've been really getting into free/open-source software, but despite its power, Synfig's UI is complete garbage.
I actually managed to get it up like right after publishing this news post, so at least there's that. And yeah, I know eh? My initial reason for writing the tutorial was so that I myself would remember how to use it if I ever needed to :P However, I can't really see myself doing so, given the direction I'm going in. But I'm still into FOSS and I've been learning Blender. Maybe I'll write up something about that once NATA's over, because it's also got a bit of a complex ui if you're not used to it.
That sounds rough man, the only advice I can give you is to keep on truckin haha. Good luck

Oh oops, forgot about that. One of the precautions I had set to stop the server from dying was I had restricted access to the directory that the hacked file was in. Forgot to reenable it. Should work now.
